Author Biography

  • Michael Lee, Trinity College Dublin

    Dr Lee is an adjunct teaching fellow at the School of Creative Arts, Trinity College Dublin.  Previously he has lectured at Queen’s University Belfast, University College Dublin, and Maynooth University.  As a freelance broadcaster and speaker, his work has included presenting concerts and feature programmes to a national audience on RTÉ Lyric fm and giving evening courses in opera studies at the UCD Adult Education Centre.  Dr Lee completed his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast with an interdisciplinary project entitled ‘Tasso’s Armida and the power of fantasy in late seventeenth-century opera’ (2013).  He also writes for the music website Goldenplec.com.
